The Elliot Linzer Collection consists primarily of near-print materials such as handbills, mimeographed flyers, and pamphlets documenting the activities of New York City chapters of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), a civil rights organization, during the early 1960s. Elliot Linzer is a Queens College alumnus and former member of CORE.

J. Chester Johnson Papers

Scope and Content Note

This collection documents Johnson’s participation in the civil rights movement as well as later involvement in social justice efforts through literary works he has created. The collection contains five physical works, one digital work, miscellaneous papers and articles describing social justice events he participated in, and a typed profile sheet of Johnson as a poet.
